Today I asked this wonderful teacher/expert, Melanie, to come to my home to teach me pet CPR, to proof my house, my yard (you'd be amazed at the common plants that can harm them like bulbs), proof my kitchen (found out the fake sugar I use in my tea/coffee and in my gum is deadly to pets - Xylitol), she gave me the name of a guy who will train the dogs, for $65, to stay away from Rattle snakes, what to do if they choke...

IT WAS AMAZING! I have always wanted to know this stuff, just in case.

Her book is SO HELPFUL! You can get it on Amazon (Link below). She is also lovely, funny, as well as knowledgeable. She can fully CPR certify you as well with a longer course.

I am fairly anal and read a lot and still learned so many things today that I had no idea of and in a really pleasant way. The time flew. She showed me a great break away collar in case my dogs get tangled wrestling, which happened to us last year and my Oz almost choked! Now I can get him a collar to make sure that can't happen if I am not here!

She will do puppy proofing too.
